May's gigs were fun. I got to spend less than 24 hours in Barcelona, but what a buzz to be playing at the Primavera festival. We went down well, I think. Great venue - meaning it had great stage lights so I couldn't see the audience at all.
Nothing's booked, I think I'm going to have quite a lot of free time this year. Time to join another band. Any offers?
I guess I could talk about the fact that in the past few weeks I've just seen the most amazing lady drummers - I should just say most amazing drummers, who happen to be ladies. I don't think I've ever seen anyone as good as Janet Weiss, male or female. She was drumming for Steven Malkmus, and I don't know how I managed to miss her as a drummer. Completely awesome. Then, I saw Sparks play their Lil' Beethoven Lp, and Tammy Glover was on drums. Double awesome! Honestly, if I could play one hundreth as good as them in a band one millionth as good as those bands I would be the happiest drummer in the world!
